Rev. Dr. Eileen Borduin Vanderzwan is not new to the area.  She served as the Director of Music Ministries, as organist and choral conductor, working with children, teens and adults, and Worship Coordinator at Rochester Christian Reformed Church, before heading to seminary.  She began seminary training at Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and transferred to, and graduated from, Princeton Theological Seminary, in Princeton, NJ.  She spent a summer doing chaplaincy training in dual sites, Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York, followed by a year serving a church in Troon, Scotland, and a summer in a church in Siesta Key, Florida, as part of her training.  She then came back to Rochester.  She served for a fall season at Pittsford Presbyterian Church while their associate pastor was on maternity leave, then as supply pastor at Brighton Reformed Church here in Rochester, and served as head pastor in the Presbyterian Church in Olean, New York.

Eileen is presently an Associate Pastor at Webster Presbyterian Church.  In September, 2015, she gratefully completed her Doctoral Degree in Transformational Leadership with a Concentration in Prophetic Preaching and a Focus on the Arts, at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School.  Being impassioned about the arts, she continues to explore ways to incorporate them in worship and preaching, convinced that they are God’s gifts as windows into the holy.  She is involved with social justice issues, and loves all aspects of ministry.
