WEBSTER PRESBYTERIAN PRESCHOOL

OUR STAFF

Our staff consists of two teachers for each class.  Each teacher has been selected not only for her professional qualifications and experience, but also for her love and understanding of children.  Staff have attended programs and workshops presented by the Rochester Association for the Education of Young Children, and Handwriting Without Tears.  Each teacher will serve as a consultant to parents and will be available for parent-teacher conferences.

Laura Blair is in her fourth year teaching at Webster Presbyterian Pre-School, and is also the school’s Registrar.  She loves the inquisitive nature and excitement of her 2-day students.  Mrs. Blair has a family of her own including an 12-year old son and a 10-year old daughter (both Webster Presbyterian Pre-School alumni).  When not at preschool, Mrs. Blair can often be found coaching or managing a soccer team, coordinating PTSA events, volunteering in her children’s school classes or library, or helping out in the church nursery.

Amy Crumley is in her fifteenth year teaching the 2-day classes at Webster Presbyterian Pre-School and her twelveth year as Director of the school.  She enjoys watching how much her students grow and mature from the first conference in September until the end-of-the-year party.  Mrs. Crumley is married and has two daughters, one is grown and the other is in college (both Webster Presbyterian Pre-School alumni).  In her free time, she keeps busy by serving on the Webster Public Library Board of Trustees and volunteering in the Webster community.

Laura Oliver is in her thirteenth year teaching the 3-day/PreK classes at Webster Presbyterian Pre-School.  Mrs. Oliver enjoys teaching the 4 and 5 year olds and loves to give them a head start for kindergarten and a life-long love for learning.  She is married and has three children, a grown son, and a son and a daughter in college (all Webster Presbyterian Pre-School alumni).  Mrs. Oliver loves photography, reading, boating, volunteering (fostering) with Joyful Rescue, tutoring and shopping.

Gayl Galen is in her seventeenth year teaching at Webster Presbyterian Pre-School.  She enjoys making connections with all of her 3-day/PreK preschool students and helping them with the transition to kindergarten.  She loves creating new and exciting activities to make sure that the children are engaged and excited about school.  Mrs. Galen has two grown children, a daughter and a son (both Webster Presbyterian Pre-School alumni).  In her spare time, she enjoys antique shopping, scrapbooking, spending time with family and her job as children’s Christian Education Director at Webster Presbyterian Church.
