Our Members and Community:

We hope you are staying healthy during these unprecedented times.  Thank you for your patience as we work through the challenges to a new way of meeting and worshiping together.

We invite you to participate in the Sunday Worship Service, 9:30 a.m. in person in the Sanctuary, or online Facebook and YouTube.

Whereas new guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and New York State allow for the expanded opening of buildings, the Webster Presbyterian Church hereby updates its building usage policy as of June 22, 2022 as follows:

  1. Face masks are optional until further notice.
  2. Social gatherings with limited food service may be approved by Session for  up to 125 individuals at a time. Food may be provided by an outside vendor. The kitchen may be used for serving and preparation. No self-service of food is permitted.
  3. Beverages may be served in the Narthex. No self-service of beverages is permitted.

Christian Environmental Ethics

Renewable Energy Statement/Motion

We believe:  “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…God saw all he had made, and it was very good.”
Genesis 1:1, 31

We believe human beings were created in the image of God, given a privileged place among creatures, and commanded to exercise stewardship over the earth.  Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 8:4-6

We believe that as members of the body of Christ, individually and collectively as a church, we must care about our environment because we love God the Creator and Jesus our Lord, through whom and for whom the creation was made.  Colossians 1:16

We believe the scientific evidence that heat trapping gases are altering the creation in ways that are harmful to realizing God’s will that “His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.”

Therefore, recognizing our responsibility to be active stewards of preserving life on our planet, we move that Webster Presbyterian Church commit to use of renewable energy by subscribing to receive electric power from a local Community Solar Energy Program.
